Gleanntan has been responsibly breeding healthy and sound Skye Terriers for 54 years without interruption. Gleanntan has produced some of the breed’s greats with All-Breed Best in Show winners, Best in Specialty Show winners, and the breed’s top producers. Gleanntan Skyes have been regarded for their strong breed type and sweet temperaments.

This photo has always been one of my favorites, because it captures a Skye from Gleanntan’s second litter. It also serves as a reminder to me that, while bone and strength are essential breed characteristics, it it also important that Skyes be attractive, with quintessential “terrier expression.”

At the Lehigh Valley KC show on December 16, 2023, Gleanntan I Vant To Be Alone - “Greta” earned the final point for her AKC championship. Greta earned her two majors during the Montgomery Weekend and she earned all of her points from the Bred by Exhibitor class. Greta is the 133rd AKC champion bred by Gleanntan. She is co-owned with Gary Vlachos & Bill Behan.

At the Fort Steuben Kennel Association (Skye Terrier Club of America Supported Entry) show on August 3, 2023, our 19-month-old Gleanntan Goodness and Light - “Hope” earned the final points for her AKC championship. Hope earned all of her points from the Bred by Exhibitor class. Hope is the 132nd AKC champion bred by Gleanntan.
