After Gleanntan Gotwhatittakes - "Morris" (Ch. Gleanntan Greatxplorer x Ch. Gleanntan Goldminersdaughter) was exported to Finland sixteen years ago, we began thinking about the possibility of eventually bringing a dog from Kennel Finnsky to Gleanntan. I had been closely following and admiring the Finnsky Skyes for years. 

In 2005, we were happy to import Finnsky Gladiator - "Tony". Tony is a son of Finnsky Claudia who is sired by Morris (out of Finnsky Xit). Tony's sire is Finnsky Alan. About a year later, the Finnsky "H" litter was born. I admired the breed type of Finnsky Hopeful (Finnsky Xcalibur x Finnsky Empathy - another Morris daughter) and I mentioned to Thea and Carina that we might be interested in a puppy bitch from Finnsky Hopeful. However, with the passage of time and other commitments, we didn’t inquire about Hope’s pups. She produced nicely in the Finnsky "O" litter and I admired the breed type that was stamped on Hope's offspring. 

Early in 2014, I contacted Thea and Carina to say that when Finnsky Olinda was bred again, we would be interested in a puppy bitch. In the early Summer, 2015, we learned that the sire would be Juger Edelweiss Jack Daniel's (a grandson of Finnsky Alan). The Finnsky "W" litter was born on October 8, 2015 (4 bitches, 2 dogs).

Rose joined Gleanntan on January 21, 2016.
