Over the years, Gleanntan has imported a small number of special Skyes for our program. Below is a brief write-up on each of these Skyes.

2016 - Finnsky Wildrose - “Rose” (b)

On January 21, 2016, we welcomed 15-week old Finnsky Wildrose - “Rose” to our home and our hearts. Rose has come to us from Kennel Finnsky in Finland (Thea Dahlbom and Carina Kitti) and she was delivered to New York by Carina’s daughter, Krista. Rose’s sire is RU JCH EEJW-13 Juger Edelweiss Jack Daniel’s and her dam is C.I.B SE & DK & HR & EE & FI CH Nordic JW-11 Finnsky Olinda. Rose’s great-grandfather on both the sire and dam’s side is Finnsky Alan, who is the sire of CH. Finnsky Gladiator - "Tony" who came to us from Finnsky in 2005.

2013 - Dexter Jetser Bohemia Skywalker - “Dexter” (d)

On January 25, 2013 we welcomed a new arrival here at Gleanntan. 5.5-month old Dexter Jetser Bohemia Skywalker came to us from Jaroslava Serak, Kennel Bohemia Skywalker, Prague, Czech Republic. Dexter's grandfather is Int. Ch. Gleanntan Grand Musicmaker - "DJ" (Ch. Gleanntan Greatxplorer x Ch. Sonsie Aida) who was from our litter of 10 that was born in December, 2001.

2005 - Finnsky Gladiator - “Tony” (d)

In October, 2005 we imported Finnsky Gladiator - "Tony" from Thea and Rolf Dahlbom, Kennel Finnsky. This photo was taken in October, 2006 (age 14 months).

In October, 2005 we imported Finnsky Gladiator - "Tony" from Thea and Rolf Dahlbom & Carina Kitti, Kennel Finnsky.

Tony completed his AKC Championship exclusively at Skye Terrier Club of America Supported 
Entry shows and National Specialty shows with a 5-point major and three 4-point majors. One
of his majors came during the 2006 National Specialty Weekend where he took Best of Breed from the 12-18 month class in a field of 22 Skyes, 10 Specials.

In 2008, Tony was campaigned by his owner/handler, Michael Pesare and he completed the year as the #1 Skye Terrier in the United States (breed points)

Tony is the sire of 14 AKC champions (see below):
